Inverness Canoe Club was formed in 1996 and now has over 250 members paddling at all levels - from beginners to the very experienced. We are active in most recreational areas of paddlesport including sea, white water and open canoe and we hope you will find a place in the club that will suit your particular interests.

Pool sessions are held on Friday nights during the winter months in the Inverness Aquadome. An introductory course, run in the spring, allows beginners to gain confidence in the pool, before progressing outside onto the Caledonian Canal at the Muirtown Basin and then onto the river and the sea.

A wide range of canoes and kayaks available for hire to members and a number of qualified coaches cover all paddling disciplines.

The club has an active coastal rowing group. We regularly row our club built St Ayles skiffs, Chanonry Maid and Silver Darling, from the clubhouse at Fortrose Harbour. We also attend regattas and a variety of social rowing occasions.

With four oars and a Cox there are great opportunities for all ages to keep fit and active all year round.

We welcome rowers of all ages from all over the Highlands. You don't need to be super fit or able to get out on the water with us. Most of our activity is social rowing at a pace and level to suit those going out.
