There are open meetings for the whole group fortnightly. Sometimes a guest speaker entertains us, or the afternoon might feature a poetry reading, a DVD or a quiz. Afterwards, we enjoy a wee blether over tea and biscuits, and catch up with group news. There is also a small group library. We also have special outings from time to time, such as our popular New Year lunch. Our groups include French, History, Italian, Lunch Group, Mah Jong, Photography, Quiz and Games, Scottish Country Dancing, Scrabble and Sewing Bee. Joining is simple - just come along to one of our open meetings and pay at the door. New members are welcome at any time. Non-members are welcome to attend any speaker meetings that interest them. However, our study groups are for members only.

Rosemarkie : Fortrose Scottish Country Dance Group, Gordon Memorial Hall

The Fortrose Scottish Country Dance Group meets on Monday nights in the Gordon Memorial Hall in Rosemarkie . The group aims to promote the enjoyment of Scottish Country Dancing. Beginners and more experienced dancers are welcome. Classes are from 7.30pm to 10.00pm, with easier dances during the first half of the evening. If you enjoy Scottish Music and want to stay fit and alert participating in an active and challenging activity, then Scottish Country Dancing is for you.

Strathpeffer : Strathpeffer Pipe Band, Strathpeffer Community Centre

The Strathpeffer Pipe Band was formed in 1980 with the purposes of entertaining the Highland community as well as fostering the talent of bagpipe and drum players throughout Ross-shire. We are a group from all walks of life and play at all sorts of venues, such as weddings, ceilidhs, gala events and piping competitions. Our best known performance is our parade on Saturday nights in summer in Strathpeffer. We are always looking for new members, we welcome anyone who enjoys bagpipe playing plus beginners or experienced drummers (tuition available for beginners).
